One Course Fee

The cost is £2500. You can either pay as a lump sum or alternatively, you can split into 12 installments of £209.

As well as an online e-portfolio, each student will have a designated assessor assigned to them who will support them through the course as well as in-surgery visits.

How do I complete the course?

You will attend weekly live learning on Wednesday evenings which spans over 18-24 months.

You will be set assignments to be completed each week via our student online portal where you will also have access to learning material.

Complete the course with work place assessments and an exam.

When does the course start?

There is a monthly intake on the first Wednesday of each month.

Jaky Dexter

Jaky qualified as a dental nurse in 2005, with post registration qualifications in Sedation, Radiography, Impression Taking, she also has a special interest in Orthodontics. She joined Cavity in 2013 and after completing her PTTLS qualification Jaky helped write courses and taught the NEBDN National Certificate course with Cavity before starting to teach the diploma course.  She gained her assessor qualification in 2022, in between running local marathons, 5 so far,  keeping chickens and spending time with her two lovely daughters.

Vicky Keating

Vicky has worked in Dentistry for nearly 28 years as a nurse, receptionist, and practice manager and joined Cavity as a locum nurse in 2019 for some variety!

She quickly fell in love with the Health & Wellbeing side of the business and so trained with us a mental health first aider with a qualification from MHFA England as well as completing the Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace IOSH Qualification. Vicky supports all our students not only with our face to face health & wellbeing, but is also our safe guarding lead within the business. Having completed her CAVA and AET qualifications , she knows exactly what demands are on the student nurses she also teaches a small group herself helping her to keep up to date with all training requirements.

Vicky loves watching football, going away in her campervan for weekends or to festivals. Listening to music and playing the guitar. A food lover, she enjoys going out for meals and trying new places and foods.

Charlotte Critchley

I started with Cavity in September 2018 as a locum dental nurse, I have a lot of experience in Ortho as well as Endo and also enjoy working as part of the prison nurse team!  After  completing my AET in March 2023 I started teaching in the April. I am also a qualified as an assessor.

I am a big fan of live music and try and get to as many gigs as I can, I enjoy going to the gym and currently challenged myself to read 3-4 books every month!

Jackaleen Bentley-Vaughan

Jackaleen qualified in 2014, then gained her orthodontic certificate in 2021, followed by her sedation certificate in 2023, all while locuming with Cavity Dental Staff. When the opportunity presented itself for her to gain her CAVA Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, Jackaleen jumped at the chance, and is now progressing toward gaining her tutoring qualifications.

In her free time she is a keen motorcyclist and is a member of a female only club, the Curvy Riders. As well as being an avid gamer, she also enjoys an evening in with board games.

Sian Evans

I joined cavity I October 2020 and loved every minute of it as a locum dental nurse. I like the flexibility and the variety of work, and absolutely love sharing all my knowledge and experience with my Students I qualified as an assessor and Tutor in 2022.

I have a vivacious personality I am very outgoing and in my spare time I love to hike and compete in CrossFit and of course go on lovely holidays to make memories. I live life day by day and in the moment I consider myself adventure.

Emma Johnson

After qualifying as a dental nurse in 2018, Emma trained in Oral surgery at the LDI, in addition to post reg courses such as fluoride application and impression taking and almost went on to train as a dentist until she discovered all the amazing opportunities with Cavity. Since joining the Cavity team in late 2018 as a locum nurse, she has become a fit tester, assessor, and tutor, has enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Dental Maverick’s team in Morocco as part of the Cavity charity support initiative and even prison work. ‘The Company has given me a real passion to share my skills’.

In her down time Emma and her dog Beau enjoy walking, Rugby Union and a cuddle on sofa in front of a great movie.

Sarah Halsey

I qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2002. I then furthered my knowledge by gaining my Oral Health Education, Radiography and Sedation qualifications as well as my PTTLS.

I joined Cavity as a locum Dental Nurse in 2020 and since then have gained my assessor qualification.

In my spare time I like to keep fit by dancing, enjoy travelling especially to places where I can indulge my passion in history and love getting lost in a good book.

I am looking forward to this new chapter of training and seeing Dental Nurses progress in their careers.
